During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of compliance with labor legislation at the enterprise, including in terms of attracting foreign specialists, as well as providing support to large and low-income employees.
Berdibek Saparbayev highly appreciated the company's contribution to improving the quality of life of residents of West Kazakhstan region, noting the social orientation of "Karachaganak petroleum operating B. V." and active participation in all social projects implemented in the country.
He also gave a positive assessment of the work carried out to comply with labor legislation. At the same time, the Minister urged the company to strengthen control over the situation in the labor collectives of contractors, paying special attention to the social protection of large and low-income families.
"As You know, today Kazakhstan is training of highly qualified specialists, including those of categories 3 and 4. Therefore, there is no need to attract a large number of foreign workers, with the exception of specialists who are not in Kazakhstan. In light of the instructions of the President and the President of the country, it is necessary to pay special attention to the annual increase in wages of employees not lower than inflation, as well as to prevent unjustified reduction of workers," Saparbayev said.
According to Edwin Blom, the company annually monitors wages throughout the industry. So, today the salary of employees of the enterprise is 3.3 times higher than the average salary in the West Kazakhstan region.
"The company observed fair and equal working conditions for all employees of the enterprise. By means of the collective agreement the possibility of constant dialogue between the management of the company and employees is provided. I note that similar requirements apply to contractors. And we constantly monitor the situation in them, including through unscheduled inspections for compliance with labor legislation," E. Blom assured.
