Today in Astana has started the international conference "On the results of phase I of the strategic partnership between medical Universities and leading foreign universities" with the participation of the Minister of health and social development of Kazakhstan Tamara Duysenova, leaders of domestic and foreign medical Universities, etc.
Speaking at the conference, Tamara Duysenova noted that further modernization of medical education seeks to strengthen the capacity of the domestic medical schools based on the Trinity of clinical practice, medical education and scientific activities.
The introduction of international best practice in the field of medical personnel training will be carried out on the basis of strategic partnership of Kazakhstan with foreign med school. This will provide an opportunity to strengthen the position of domestic medical Universities in domestic and foreign markets, to ensure the quality of the educational process and the development of research and teaching activities.
"At the first stage of strategic partnership in the current year, each medical school has identified a strategic partner, have been negotiated, and signed memorandums and agreements with strategic partners analyzes the current situation in Universities in priority areas and recommendations for improvement. The main activities for the implementation of the strategic partnership is scheduled for 2017-2019, including in the framework of a project co-funded by the world Bank development and the Ministry of health and social development of Kazakhstan. Key partnerships should be consulting, mentoring, collaboration, and trust management", - said Tamara Duysenova.
During the conference the results were summed up strategic partnership in 2016, Kazakh national medical University. S. D. Asfendiyarov and Duke University (USA), West Kazakhstan state medical University by M. Ospanov and the Poznan medical University by K. Marcinkowski (Poland), South-Kazakhstan state pharmaceutical Academy and medical University of Gdansk (Poland), Karaganda state medical University and Lund University (Sweden), State medical University Families and the St. Louis University (USA), Medical University of Astana and University La Sapienza (Italy). Discussed the goals and objectives of the strategic partnership of Universities for 2017-2018 years, as well as the main stages of reforming medical education in Kazakhstan.
