For the independence period since 1991 the Republic of Kazakhstan has granted citizenship to 267 944 families or 972 719 oralmans. Currently their segment in society constitutes 5,5 per cent.
From among ethnic Kazakhs arrived to Kazakhstan 61,5 % are from Uzbekistan, 11,6 % are from China, 12,0 % are from Mongolia, 7,3 % are from Turkmenistan, 3,9% have arrived from the Russian Federation and 3,7 % are from other far-abroad countries.
Among oralmans arrived the persons of employable age constitute 55,6%, under 18-year age children constitute 39,9 % and 4,5% fall on pension age persons.
According to the education level 8,8 % from among oralmans of employable age have higher education, 20,5 % of them have vocational secondary education, 60,9 % have general secondary education and 9,8 % have not any education.
In the 1st half of 2016 data, 6840 families or 14947 ethnic Kazakhs had moved to the republic and were granted the oralman status.
Most part of oralmans, exactly 66,7 % have arrived from the Republic of Uzbekistan, 4,2 % fall on oralmans from Turkmenistan, 23,6 % are immigrants from PRC, 2,4 % are from Mongolia, 3,1 % are from other countries.
The persons of employable age constitute 64,2%, people being under employable age constitute 29,7 % and number of pension age people constitutes 6,1%.
According to the education level 10,8 % from among oralmans of employable age have higher education, 17,8 % of them have vocational secondary education, 68,1 % have general secondary education and 3,3 % have not any education.
