Today, in Kazakhstan has launched the decade on prevention of acute intestinal infections (further - AII), which runs until June 16, 2016.
The purpose of the event: raising awareness about acute intestinal infections, the ways of their spread, measures on prevention of infection; equipping children and Teens the skills of personal hygiene; increasing the responsibility of citizens for the preservation and promotion of health.
In the framework of the decade in organizations of primary health care (further - PHC) will be held open days, during which citizens will be able to obtain free consultations gastroenterologists, infectious disease specialists, pediatricians, general practitioners and other specialists in the prevention of AII; among medical workers of PMSC - learning seminars - trainings with participation of gastroenterologists for the first symptoms of diseases and provision of medical care in AII;
in school, summer camps, children's homes, pre-schools sports on the theme "Protect yourself from AII!", "Personal hygiene – protection from AII" flash mobs "Clean hands!", etc.
Acute intestinal infections are group of diseases that occur with the development of diarrheal syndrome, signs of intoxication and lesions of the gastrointestinal tract. Pathogens can be bacteria, viruses and protozoa microorganisms. Infection of AII contribute to unsanitary living conditions, poor personal hygiene, contaminated food stored or prepared in violation of the rules.
Susceptibility to acute enteric infections is high, especially in children of early age.
National center for problems of healthy lifestyle of MHSD of RK recommends five essential principles of safe food, which are as follows: keep clean; separate raw foods from products subjected to heat processing; to expose them thoroughly; keep food at safe temperature; use safe water and safe crude products.
