This event was held in the framework of the conference "Kazakhstan, friendly to the child!", conducted by the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan jointly with representative of UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Kazakhstan, the European Union in Kazakhstan, the Commissioner for children rights in the Republic of Kazakhstan with the participation of interested state bodies.
In the work of the dialogue platform was attended by the deputies of the Majilis of the Kazakh Parliament, representatives of ministries of education and science, culture and sports, of Finance, of the National centre for human rights, UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Kazakhstan, public associations of disabled persons and other organizations, as video conferencing was attended by the heads of regional managements of coordination of employment and social programs, representatives of the departments of education; healthcare; culture, archives and documentation; physical culture and sports; domestic policy; the advisers of the governors for the disabled.
It is symbolic that the conference coincides with the world children's day, which the calendar, the UN announced on 20 November.
On this day in 1959 the UN General Assembly adopted the Declaration on the rights of the child and in 1989 – the UN Convention on the rights of the child. Since 1956, the UN recommended that all countries on this day to celebrate universal children's day, dedicating it to activities aimed at ensuring the welfare of children around the world.
In General, the event is a continuation of the ongoing in the Republic of system operation the concerned government bodies and leading non-governmental and public organizations dealing with protection of rights and interests of children and young people.
