The Ministry of labor and social protection of population of Kazakhstan organizes short-term training. This gives the opportunity for the unemployed in the short term to demand in the labor market, professional knowledge and skills.
The training is conducted through the existing colleges, training centres in enterprises and also in remote areas through mobile training centers.
This year, under the plan of 26 thousand in fact short courses trained 61 thousand unemployed and self-employed people. Thus, program participants are provided with a stipend, travel, accommodation.
The most popular are the professions of hairdresser, electrician, gas welders, Mason, cook.
Of the 23 thousand people completed training 9.5 thousand found a job. At the same time, 70% of them are employed with assistance of employment centers, 30% found work independently.
Today in the regions on the basis of the 402 colleges short term training covered more than 56 thousand people.
According to the Minister of labor and social protection of population Tamara Duissenova, since August this year, we launched short-term vocational training through training centers with employers.
"This format of learning, we believe, along with the quality of teaching, acquire the necessary practical skills, and enhance the possibility of their further employment. Also, one of the innovations of the Program was tested in a pilot mode of short-term training in remote areas through mobile training centers" - said the Minister.
Mobile training centres purchased in a number of areas. They covered a half thousand people in the five pilot regions. The project "Bastau Business" training covered more than 15 thousand people, more than 2,300 people have received loans.
Overall, by 2020, in the framework of the Program training is planned to cover about 472 thousand people.
Noting good activity in all regions to organize short-term professional training, Tamara Duissenova drew governors ' attention to the low level of employment of graduates of technical and vocational education and recommended the right choice of educational institutions, or revision of the list of training organizations.
Given the urgency of short-term training on the basis of enterprises, jointly with the regional chambers "Atameken" to determine the list of employers that have training centres and ready to train.
